The Mountains Are Calling
The Mountains Are Calling
The Lord has been taking me on an unexpected journey through my timeline of when we lived in Los Angeles the past 4 years. He began taking me to specific times where he led me to do prophetic acts/prayers, preaching, and meeting certain people. During this timeline journey, he unveiled mysteries to me that took place in the Spirit realm from my prophetic acts and prayers. I have to be honest here, living in Los Angeles held some of the most difficult times of our lives, but also some of the greatest. There were several times where he took me to a prophetic act on my timeline and said, “You changed things in the Spirit realm way more than you even realize when you did this.” Another time he took me to when I preached a prophetic message and said, “You preached to exactly who you were suppose to while you lived here.” Overall, my timeline journey that felt like I did not accomplish much to my standards was summed up with the Father saying, “You did more than you even know. Wherever you went, you shifted the atmosphere. You did exactly what I sent you out here for at the right time.”
I wanted to preface this blog with that experience because it ties directly into where we are going in the church’s timeline. While on Facebook yesterday, I saw a short video clip about the mountains in Gatlinburg that were burned recently, and the hashtag for the video was #TheMountainsAreCalling. This immediately hit my spirit as it was confirming what the Lord has been showing me concerning the mountains of cultural influence that we in the church are assigned to. Have you been hearing your mountains crying out for their deliverance from the curses of the enemy? They are crying out for the manifest sons of God to rule and reign on their thrones as kings and priests to legislate heaven’s glory from the mountain tops as living oracles of YHWH.
What many fail to understand is that the spiritual “mountains” that influence culture on earth are a mimicking perversion of the ones in heaven. Hebrews 12:22 tells us that Mount Zion is in heaven. Within the 7 mountain prophecy teaching, it shows that the government mountain has its own mountain. I believe that Mount Zion is heaven’s governmental mountain, the main mountain, that overshadows the rest of the 6 mountains (Micah 4). I also believe that music has its own mountain separate from the arts and entertainment mountain. Scripturally speaking, the prophets of God (Daniel, Joseph, David, etc.) had governmental roles in the earth because they operated from the government of heaven. Manifest sons of God are called to govern the earth and to give counsel to its kings just like the prophets of old.
The counterfeit of Mount Zion and God’s governing ekklesia are secret societies that are ruling behind the scenes. I lived in Hollywood long enough to know what really goes on both in the church and the world behind the curtain. See, the enemy cannot create anything because he was a created light that became void when he rebelled against God and fell. As a voided being in darkness, he can only copy and pervert God’s original intent and design. He also occupies what we do not, which is why he has greater influence in the world than the church does.
There are some that completely disagree with the cultural mountain teaching, and that’s ok. They can remain in their church building preaching to one another and never change the world. Some take Jesus’ teaching of “Be in the world and not of the world” to really be, “Do not be in the world at all,” which actually translates as “useless salt” that Jesus also warns against. They will also say that the 7 mountains in Revelation 17 refer to the 7 mountains of prophecy that are “truly” in Satan’s domain. That is an awful misinterpretation of the passage because Revelation 17:9-10 clearly states that the “mountains” are heads of the beast that represent kings of the earth. This teaching is dangerous because it also subjects the people of God to falsely live in a framework believing that we abide under the reign of the enemy who rules the air that is “above” us. This belief comes from Ephesians 6:12 that states, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
Although there are demonic forces that we war against in the heavenly places, the truth is that we do not abide UNDER them, but we live OVER them as we are “seated in Christ in heavenly places” (Ephesians 2:6) who is, “far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all (Ephesians 1:20-23). If we are truly seated WITH Christ and abide IN him, then ALL of these things are subject to us as we live in a HIGHER place than they! The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it (Psalm 24:1), not the enemy’s!
The point that I want to bring your attention to is HOW the church has tried to “infiltrate” the cultural mountains. Like most of the times in the church, we tend to do things in the flesh first and the Spirit later. Even with good intentions and living in right standing with the Lord, you cannot waltz yourself to a mountain in the natural and expect to take it. You definitely cannot take it if you are not excellent in your gifts. For the sake of the argument, I also want to mention that there those in the church that completely sell out and fall to other gods in order to “fit in” and be “relevant.” You cannot change the world unless you go into the world as fire carriers, but you cannot go into the world unless you are sold out to one King. Just like God showed me on my timeline, we must shift, engage, and lay hold of what is in the Spirit FIRST. The church will never rule and reign on mountains of influence in the natural unless we learn how to rule and reign on the mountains in the glory realm of our Father.
A question you need to find the answer to is who or what is occupying your mountain? If you are not occupying it, then something else is, and you need the Father to show you what that is. If you ask him, he will show you how to take your mountain, cleanse it, and reign/legislate on it in the Spirit realm, which will eventually manifest in the natural realm (a teaching for later). The Kingdom of God always works the opposite of the “norm.” The Kingdom always flows from Spirit to natural. This is what the church is going to start learning, and as a result we will see a shift in our culture as the fiery oracles of the Lord rise up and decree his word from these different mountains of influence.
There have been many who have taken their mountains in the Spirit but are waiting for it to manifest in the natural. Get ready for that manifestation. The new sound from heaven is about to come on the scene because Judah goes first into battle.
